Jim Roope

Jim is an accomplished award-winning broadcaster, voiceover artist, actor, host and emcee who is driven by an incredible passion for self-expression. Currently he Los Angeles Radio Correspondent for Westwood One News, his award-winning radio career, 15 Golden Mic Awards, two Peabody Awards and two Edward R. Murrow Awards,  includes 13 years as the West Coast Radio News correspondent for CNN. Jim has worked for such storied LA stations as KNX, KFWB, KABC, KGIL, KRLA and KFI. Jim started his career as a disc jockey but his natural curiosity directed him to news. Jim is also a performer. His acting roles are often noted for their unique blend of passion, grace, comedy and fire. Jim has created characters that are unforgettable.

Jim's voice and character voices have appeared in various commericals and animated features such as "Puss n' Boots Beyond the Fairytale" from Renegade Animation in Los Angeles and in stage productions such as "The Odd Couple" in which he played Felix Unger. He has won 14 Golden Mic Awards, two Peabody Awards and two Edward R. Murrow Awards for excellence in broadcasting.
